The 14 years of brutal, devastating civil war which took place in Liberia came to an end in 2003. Since then, progress to rebuild the country has been
substantial: the restoration of infrastructure, public services, the economy and the rule of law is well under way. It has been noted within the statistics
of the Liberian National Police that, week after week, abused of children especially raping of girls between the ages of 10 and 14 - is the most
reported crime.
In respond to the desperate needs of Liberia's neediest children and their families, Children’s Welfare International is consistently reaching out to
the unreached Orphans and vulnerable children living in Liberia, engaging them in a variety of inter-related activities that will get them off the streets
while keeping them busy and safe., All of our activities are focused on leading them to salvation through Christ Jesus within the framework of youth
and child development. These activities include:
