Brief profile of Don Peter
Don Peter is on the faculty of Seattle Pacific University, a Christian College in Seattle, Washington, where he has
taught engineering for the past 22 years.   Before that he worked 11 years as an electrical engineer in Portland,
Oregon.  He has also done engineering consulting in the Seattle area.   He is a licensed professional engineer in
the State of Washington.


Don earned his B.S in physics from Seattle Pacific College in 1974 and his M.S  in electrical engineering in 1976.
He attends Midway Community Covenant Church in Des Moines, Washington, where he also resides with his wife
Jo Ann. They have two grown children.

He and Jo Ann first hosted Joseph Jarbah and his sister when they first arrived in the U.S  from Ivory Coast in 2004,
and provided support for him in his efforts to get the rest of his family to the U.S.  Since that time, the members of
Jarbah family have become dear friends.

Don supports Joseph’s fine efforts in establishing CWI and recommends this work as a worthy work in helping
needy children in Liberia. Having known Joseph for the past years as a man of high integrity and strong faith, Don
Passion for needy children in Africa, especially Liberia grew stronger and decided to serve on the board of
Children’s Welfare International in order to make an impact in the lives of vulnerable children. As a board member
of CWI, Don Peter brings many experiences to help CWI achieve its mission in Liberia.
